Product Overview — Membrane Filter Press Plates

The filter plate is the heart of every filter press system. GINCHE TECH manufactures a full range of high-performance filter plates in reinforced polypropylene (PP), with optional TPE/EPDM/NBR rubber membrane variants, PVDF for extreme chemical resistance, and cast iron for high-temperature applications.

Our plates are CNC-machined to ±0.1 mm flatness, ensuring perfect inter-plate sealing, uniform cake formation, and long service life. Available from 320 mm to 2000 mm in all standard configurations — chamber (recessed), membrane (squeeze), and plate & frame — with center feed, corner feed, top feed, and CGR gasketed variants.

Membrane Material Options

  • TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) — General purpose, excellent for mining and wastewater. Best cost-performance ratio.
  • EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) — Superior heat and oxidation resistance. Ideal for chemical and high-temperature applications.
  • NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) — Excellent oil and solvent resistance. Best for petrochemical and oil-sludge applications.
  • NR (Natural Rubber) — High elasticity and abrasion resistance. Suitable for abrasive mineral slurries.
  • FPM / Viton — Extreme chemical resistance for aggressive acids and solvents.

How to Choose the Right Filter Plate — 5 Critical Factors

1. Slurry Chemistry — Know your pH, temperature, and chemical composition. Standard FRPP handles pH 1–14 up to 80°C. For aggressive acids, solvents, or high temperatures, select PVDF or high-temp PP.

2. Plate Type: Chamber vs. Membrane — If your process needs the driest possible cake (<30% moisture), choose membrane plates. For standard dewatering where moisture is less critical, chamber plates offer the best value.

3. Operating Pressure — Match plate rating to your filtration pressure. Standard: 6–16 bar; high-pressure: 16–25 bar. Using a low-pressure plate in a high-pressure system will cause cracking.

4. Feed Position — Center feed is most common and economical. Corner feed provides more uniform distribution for large plates. Top feed with CGR gasket for zero-leak hazardous slurry applications.

5. Cake Thickness — Thicker cakes (35–50 mm) for high-solids slurry; thinner cakes (25–30 mm) for fine particles and faster cycles. Custom depths available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What sizes of filter plates do you manufacture?
A: From 320 mm to 2000 mm. Common sizes: 400, 500, 630, 800, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1600, 2000 mm. Custom dimensions available on request.

Q: What is the difference between membrane and chamber filter plates?
A: Membrane plates have a flexible diaphragm that inflates after filtration to squeeze the cake — reducing moisture to 10%–30%. Chamber plates are rigid single-stage plates producing 25%–45% moisture cakes.

Q: Can your plates fit other brands of filter presses?
A: Yes. We manufacture plates compatible with ANDRITZ, Lenser, Passavant-Geiger, Metso, Jingjin, and custom machines. Send us your existing plate dimensions for a perfect match.

Q: What material should I choose for my application?
A: FRPP is standard for most industrial applications. For high temperatures (>80°C), choose high-temp PP. For aggressive chemicals, use PVDF. For oily slurries, select NBR membrane.

Q: What is CGR (gasketed) plate and when should I use it?
A: CGR plates have an O-ring seal around the chamber perimeter, ensuring zero leakage. Essential for toxic, volatile, expensive, or hazardous slurries.

Q: What is the MOQ and delivery time?
A: MOQ is typically 10 plates per size, but we accept smaller trial orders. Standard sizes often in stock (3–7 day dispatch). Custom plates: 15–25 days production.
