1、Installation Requirements:
The filter press must be installed on a flat concrete foundation. The feed end’s thrust plate foot should be securely fixed to the foundation using foot bolts. At the bracket end, foot bolts are either omitted or secured with two nuts after positioning, leaving a small gap between the nut spacer and the foot seat to allow for minor expansion. Prior to final positioning, the installer must ensure the perpendicularity of the beam relative to the thrust plate’s large plane.
2、Foundation Design:
The foundation structure should be designed by construction engineers based on the equipment’s load requirements. Foot bolts should be grouted twice within the pre-drilled holes to ensure stability.
3、Space and Layout:
Sufficient space must be provided around the filter press for operation and maintenance. For hydraulic filter presses, the hydraulic station should be positioned in an appropriate location to ensure its proper functioning.
4、Setup and Piping:
Install the filter plates according to operational requirements and arrange the feeding, washing, and liquid discharge pipelines. Equip the system with a filtration pressure display meter and a return channel for pressure control. For diaphragm squeezing types, ensure the compressed air pipeline is properly installed.
5、Hydraulic System:
For hydraulic filter presses, fill the hydraulic station tank with clean 20# to 40# hydraulic oil, suitable for use at temperatures above -5°C. In colder environments, use hydraulic oil with similar viscosity but a lower condensation point. The hydraulic oil must be filtered through an 80-100 mesh filter before being added.
6、Compression System:
Ensure the mechanical or hydraulic compression device is functioning correctly. The hydraulic pressure gauge should show a steady rise during pressurization, with no leaks in the hydraulic system. Adjust the hydraulic station’s working pressure according to operational requirements. After testing, if the oil level in the tank is insufficient, replenish it promptly.
